Planning policy for Waterloo says that we need to make more of its convenience as a place to work. It also says that we should seek a better balance of investment between the traditional centres on the north of the Thames and ‘London South Central’, which is Waterloo, London Bridge, Vauxhall and the Elephant & Castle.

Our scheme provides two office buildings which will provide space for about a third of the 15,000 new jobs encouraged for Waterloo.

  In order to keep offices and homes in step we have a new residential building which will provide about half of the minimum number of homes sought in Waterloo.

We want the scheme to enhance the mixed use character of Waterloo and the South Bank. The shops on York Road will be replaced and new shops and cafés created in the new street which will face the Station.
